Peaceful Voting Marks Second Phase in Dima Hasao Lok Sabha Election

During the second phase of the Lok Sabha election in Dima Hasao, an estimated 73.30% of voters exercised their rights across 254 polling stations. Female voters outnumbered males, contributing to the peaceful polling atmosphere. Despite challenges such as train cancellations affecting voter turnout, polling proceeded smoothly from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Notably, the 113-Haflong (ST) LAC segment of 6-Diphu (ST) constituency witnessed a gradual increase in turnout throughout the day. The final polling percentage will be confirmed once all reports are received. Compared to the 2019 election, where Dima Hasao recorded 77.71% turnout, this phase saw high participation with no reported incidents.
