Known for its 107 one-horned rhinos, the sanctuary offers jeep and elephant safaris, with plans for a boat safari pending weather conditions. Since 2016, no poaching incidents have occurred. A recent bird census found nearly 11,000 water birds, marking a 50% increase from 2024. The survey, conducted by experts and the Forest Department, revealed that 80% of the birds were migratory. World Wetland Day was celebrated at Pobitora with a focus on wetland conservation.
