Polling Agent Dies on Duty in Hailakandi District Tragedy

Tragedy struck a polling station in Hailakandi district as Faruk Ahmed, a 50-year-old polling agent for the AIUDF, lost his life while on duty at the 629 No. Gallacherra LP School near the Assam-Mizoram border. Ahmed collapsed during the voting process and was rushed to Gharmurra Primary Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death remains unknown.
