Prateek Hajela, the former NRC coordinator, has failed to appear in court.

Prateek Hajela, Despite being summoned by the Additional District and Sessions Judge, the former National Registry of Citizens (NRC) coordinator, did not appear before the Court on Friday. On November 17, the Court summoned him in connection with the NRC’s financial irregularities.

Following this development, the Court ordered that advertisements be published in two widely circulated Madhya Pradesh and Assam newspapers, as well as two national newspapers, to bring the incident to Prateek Hazela’s attention. The summons stated that if the official failed to appear in court, the case would be heard ex parte in accordance with the law. Despite the fact that WIPRO Limited filed an affidavit with the Court, Integrated System and Services (ISS) proprietor Utpal Hazarika did not appear for the hearing.
