Rahul Gandhi Backs Pawan Khera Amid Legal Battle with Assam Govt

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said the party stands firmly with Pawan Khera and will not be intimidated after the Assam government challenged his transit bail in the Supreme Court.

Gandhi stressed the need for transparency and accountability, while also accusing Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of misusing power—an allegation rejected by Sarma.

Khera had accused Sarma’s wife of holding undisclosed foreign assets, leading to a case filed in Guwahati. The Telangana High Court granted him one-week transit anticipatory bail with conditions.
