A significant step forward has been the transfer of the case against Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress party, and other party members for allegedly committing “wanton acts of violence” during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Guwahati to the Assam Criminal inquiry Department (CID) for a comprehensive inquiry. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) will also be established to investigate the subject further.
