Raijor Dal Sets January 31 Deadline for Opposition Seat-Sharing

The Raijor Dal has given the Congress party a January 31 deadline to finalise seat-sharing among opposition parties for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections. The party said delays could weaken the opposition’s prospects and warned it may announce candidates unilaterally if talks fail.

Raijor Dal leaders said they are seeking 20 seats and expressed concern over the lack of response from Congress. The party also announced that two sitting MLAs will join Raijor Dal in February, with a few more legislators in contact.
