Delhi-NCR has emerged as the biggest advance-booking market for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part One, with the eagerly awaited mythological drama attracting substantial pre-release ticket sales across India. With its nationwide theatrical debut scheduled for Thursday, November 5, the film is closing in on ₹100 crore in domestic advance bookings.

According to box-office tracking platform Sacnilk, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer had accumulated approximately ₹97.64 crore in advance ticket bookings across India, including blocked seats, as per figures recorded on November 4.

The report covers approximately 25.88 lakh booked tickets across more than 83,700 shows in 901 cities. Excluding seats blocked by cinemas, the advance-booking gross stands at ₹77.71 crore.

The figures indicate considerable interest in the film before its theatrical opening, although its actual box-office performance will become clearer once screenings begin.

Hindi Version Dominates Ramayana Advance Bookings

The Hindi-language version accounts for the largest share of advance ticket sales, contributing approximately ₹79.84 crore to the overall domestic total.

The Telugu version follows with ₹8.13 crore, while the Kannada version has registered ₹7.30 crore in advance bookings.

Tamil screenings have contributed around ₹1.88 crore, followed by Malayalam with approximately ₹49.35 lakh.

The figures demonstrate that the film’s strongest advance-booking market remains the Hindi-speaking audience, while dubbed versions are also attracting viewers in southern India.

Premium theatrical formats have contributed to the film’s pre-release performance. According to Sacnilk, formats including IMAX, 4DX and Dolby Cinema account for approximately ₹16.13 crore in advance bookings across India.

Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru Lead City-Wise Collections

Among individual markets, Delhi-NCR has secured the leading position with approximately ₹13.59 crore in advance ticket sales.

Mumbai follows with ₹12.15 crore, while Bengaluru has generated around ₹10 crore.

Hyderabad has recorded approximately ₹5.95 crore, followed by Pune with ₹4.07 crore.

The geographical spread of bookings reflects the film’s presence across major metropolitan markets, with particularly strong ticket revenue coming from northern and western India.

Meanwhile, advance bookings for the November 5 opening day alone have reached approximately ₹39.42 crore, including blocked seats.

Ramayana Records Strong Overseas Advance Sales

The film is also drawing substantial attention from international audiences, particularly in North America.

Earlier overseas booking reports indicated that paid preview screenings scheduled for November 4 in the United States had generated more than $1.20 million in advance sales.

Advance bookings for the US opening weekend were also reported at approximately $3 million, with the United Kingdom and Australia contributing to international demand.

According to Sacnilk’s November 2 report, Ramayana: Part One had already crossed ₹100 crore in worldwide opening-weekend advance bookings, combining domestic and overseas markets.

This international milestone is separate from the ₹100 crore domestic advance-booking mark that the film is approaching.

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash Headline the Film

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part One features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.

The principal cast also includes Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.

Other actors associated with the production include Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi and Kunal Kapoor.

Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, the film is an ambitious cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic.

The production features music by Academy Award-winning composers A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

Ramayana: Part One is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026, with a second instalment planned for Diwali 2027.

With bookings continuing ahead of the release, attention now turns to whether the film can reach ₹100 crore in domestic advance sales and how effectively that early demand will translate into its opening-weekend box-office performance.
