Rare Gharial Spotted in Kaziranga National Park

A critically endangered gharial was recently spotted in the Burhapahar Range of Kaziranga National Park, creating excitement among wildlife enthusiasts and conservationists.
The rare reptile was seen during an early morning safari near Dipholu Camp and was captured on camera by travel guide Shishukanta Nath and tourist Diganta Kumar Sarma. Photos and videos of the sighting quickly went viral on social media.
Wildlife experts called the sighting a positive sign for conservation efforts, as gharials are among the world’s rarest reptiles. Kaziranga is known for its rich biodiversity, including the famous one-horned rhinoceros.
