Woman Killed, Husband Injured in Bongaigaon Road Accident

A woman was killed and her husband critically injured in a road accident at Saktola on National Highway 27 in Assam’s Bongaigaon district on Saturday.

According to reports, a speeding Hyundai i10 lost control and crashed into a roadside railing. The deceased was identified as 60-year-old Deepali Bala Das of Sorbhog in Barpeta district, while her husband Ranjan Kumar Das sustained serious injuries.

The couple was returning home from Bongaigaon when the accident occurred. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
