Restrictions Imposed Near Vote Counting Centre in Tezpur

To ensure peaceful Panchayat vote counting on May 11, the Sonitpur District Magistrate has banned public gatherings, vehicle parking, firecrackers, weapons, and temporary stalls within 100 metres of Darrang College, Tezpur. Only those with valid ID cards may enter the centre. The order, effective immediately, exempts election duty staff and permanent shops. Violators will face action under Section 223 of BNSS.
