Saikia Criticizes BJP for Dynastic Politics Amid Election Campaign

Veteran Congress leader Debabrata Saikia criticized Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for accusing Congress of promoting dynastic politics. Saikia pointed out that at least 30 BJP leaders, including Piyush Goyal and Anurag Thakur, come from political families. He accused the BJP of hypocrisy and questioned why the party campaigns against dynastic politics when it has leaders with family lineage.

Saikia also alleged that the Chief Minister breached the Model Code of Conduct by instilling fear during election campaigns and criticized BJP’s failure to meet development expectations in Dholai.
