Salaguri Satra Official Arrested in Alleged POCSO Sexual Assault Case

Sivasagar: Police have arrested Kritikamal Dev Goswami, the Deka Satradhikar of Salaguri Satra, following allegations of prolonged sexual assault made by a 19-year-old complainant. The survivor alleged the abuse began in 2022 when he was a minor and continued for nearly four years.

The accused has been booked under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and Section 377 of the IPC. Police questioned him for several hours before making the arrest and later produced him before a court. The complainant also alleged that private videos were recorded and that he was threatened and offered money to remain silent after approaching the accused’s family.
