Semiconductor Project in Jagiroad Progressing Smoothly

The semiconductor project at Jagiroad is on track, with recruitment expected by early next year. Chief Secretary Ravi Kota reviewed the progress with Tata Electronics MD, Dr. Randhir Thakur, and other officials. Construction by Tata Projects and L&T is underway, and plans to hire 1,500 employees by July 2025 were discussed. A joint action plan to support the semiconductor industry cluster in the region was also formed.

Dr. Thakur expressed optimism about future growth and attracting investors to Assam.
