Seven Assam ACS officers were promoted by Assam Government

With effect from January 1, 2024, the State Government promoted four senior ACS officers to roles of authority and granted them to serve in the ACS selection grade.

The official notification to this effect was released today by the Personnel Department, following approval from the Chief Minister. The four ACS officers are Diganta Baishya, CEO of Biswanath Zila Parishad, Arup Kumar Sarma, Director of Small Savings and Registrar of Firms and Societies (Additional), Welfare of Minorities and Development Joint Secretary Sorman Ali Ahmed, and Secretary of the Assam State Information Commission Atul Kumar Sarma.

Additionally, three other senior ACS officers were promoted by the State Government and given permission to hold the position of secretary (ACS cadre). With effect from January 2024, the three are Paul Baruah, Prajnya Saharia, and Madhu Sudhan Nath.
