Sivasagar Congress Protests Against APDCL Over Smart Meter Overcharges

The Sivasagar District Congress Committee has accused Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) of overcharging customers through its smart meter system. During a protest on Wednesday, Congress workers demanded the removal of the smart meters and a reduction in electricity rates. They also called for the resignation of Nandita Garlosa, the State’s Minister for Power, over her alleged failure to address the issue.
