Six detained by STF in Guwahati with fake gold and FICN

On Tuesday, the Special Task Force (STF) arrested six people in connection with the sale and delivery of counterfeit gold and money.

Based on information, sources claim that the STF, which is under the authority of Basistha Police Station, conducted a raid at Lalmati close to the IIE office. Six people were arrested during the raid, and items including three allegedly fake gold boat shapes weighing 3.556 kg, 315 fake Indian currency notes (FICN) with a face value of Rs 1,04,700 that were divided into denominations of Rs 200 and Rs 500, five cell phones, and Rs 1,08,490 in cash were seized.

The six accused are Manuj Kumar (40) from Uttarkhand, Saddam Hussain (27) from Lakhimpur, Debdas Halder (25) from West Bengal, Santosh Mandal (40), Nitay Halder (48), and Shivam Kumar (22) from Uttar Pradesh.
