Six Get Life Imprisonment for Witchcraft Murder in Chirang

The Chirang District and Sessions Court sentenced six individuals to life imprisonment for killing a man on suspicion of witchcraft in 2018. The court also imposed a Rs 10,000 fine, with three additional months in prison for non-payment. The incident involved Sarat Narzary (45), who was brutally beaten near Dakshingaon, dying en route to the hospital. One accused died during the trial.
