Sonitpur to Launch Intensive HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign on August 12

A preparatory meeting for the launch of an intensive HIV/AIDS IEC campaign in Sonitpur district was held on Thursday at the District Commissioner’s office. The Assam State AIDS Control Society (ASACS), following National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) instructions, will conduct a two-month campaign starting August 12. The campaign aims to increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS in 100 villages using LED vans, miking, and street plays. Key officials, including Additional District Commissioner Twahir Alam and Dr. Rupak Baruah, attended the meeting.
