Special Traffic Restrictions in Guwahati for Ambubachi Mela

Guwahati: Assam Police has implemented special traffic arrangements and restrictions for the Ambubachi Mela at the Maa Kamakhya Temple from June 22 to June 25. Private vehicles have been barred from proceeding towards the temple from the foothill area, while designated parking zones and drop-off points have been arranged for pilgrims.

Restrictions have also been imposed on commercial vehicles along key city routes to ensure smooth movement of devotees. The temple will remain closed from June 23 to June 25 and will reopen on June 26 after the completion of religious rituals.
