“Spray-Gang” Causes Panic in Dhing, Nagaon

A gang known as the ‘Spray-gang’ has caused alarm in Dhing, Nagaon, after incidents of looting and the alleged rape of a 60-year-old woman. The gang sprayed chemicals on victims, rendering them unconscious. A similar incident occurred in Naam Doomdoomia village, leaving six people unconscious, though the thieves failed to loot the homes. The increasing thefts have led to frustration and insecurity among residents, prompting protests by the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) Dhing unit and locals demanding police action.
