Tension Erupts at BJP Campaign as Locals Gherao Municipal Official

During the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign for Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency candidate Topon Kumar Gogoi, a tense situation unfolded on Monday. Angry locals reportedly surrounded the Vice President of Mariani Municipal Board, Pradip Das, who was campaigning for BJP candidate Tapan Gogoi in the New Sonowal area. Allegedly, the locals, feeling deprived of government schemes, chanted slogans in support of Congress candidate Gaurav Gogoi and barred Das from campaigning. Eventually, Das managed to escape from the situation.
