Tension in Assam’s Biswanath District as Elephant Calf Wanders Village

A tense situation unfolded in Assam’s Biswanath district when an elephant calf became separated from its herd, causing chaos in Rangsali village, Behali. The incident occurred after a herd of 20-25 elephants ventured out of Kaziranga sixth addition, leaving the calf behind. Locals alerted the forest department, but attempts to reunite the calf with its herd were unsuccessful. Despite efforts to chase it away, the calf continued to cause disturbances, prompting police intervention to manage the situation.
