Thousands Join Naga Common Platform Rally Seeking Early Political Solution

Defying boycott calls, around 3,000 people from various Naga and non-Naga communities gathered at Agri Expo, Chümoukedima, demanding an early and honourable settlement of the Indo-Naga political issue. Speakers criticised factionalism, heavy “taxation” by armed groups, and secrecy in talks, urging unity and transparency. The rally called on the Centre to resolve the issue based on the Framework Agreement and Agreed Position. The Naga Common Platform adopted a three-point resolution supporting existing agreements and urging the Government of India and Naga groups to conclude negotiations without delay.
