Three Youths Die of Suffocation in Cachar District Well Tragedy

Three youths tragically died of suffocation after becoming stuck in a well in Tractortilla village, Cachar district, on Sunday night. The incident began when Prasenjit Dev (29) jumped into the well to remove a dead hen contaminating their drinking water. His brother Monojit Deb (39) followed to clean the well, and their neighbor Amit Sen (27) entered the well to rescue them. All three became stuck. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) responded swiftly, but the victims were pronounced dead at Silchar Medical College and Hospital due to suffocation from a lack of oxygen.
