Today, the Motor Workers’ Association of Assam has called for a 48-hour strike

On January 5, a 48-hour interruption of bus services throughout the state has been demanded by the Assam motor workers’ associations union. During the 48-hour period, petrol depots will also be closed.

The state’s bus services will be suspended for 48 hours, according to a statement from the All Assam Day-Night Super Bus Drivers’ Union. In the event that the drivers’ union’s demands for changes to the new law are not met in the next two to three days, they have threatened to prolong the strike.
