Director of Elementary Education: 3% of positions will be reserved for Adivasis and tea tribes.

3% of the Class III and Class IV teaching and non-teaching positions under elementary education will be reserved for Adivasi and tea tribe communities.

“In accordance with the Government Office Memorandum (OM) dated October 6, 2023, in respect of Class-III and Class-IV posts, 3% of the cadre strength is hereby reserved for Tea Tribes and Adivasi Communities within the existing 27% quota for OBC and MOBC communities towards adequate representation of these communities in the state government jobs,” reads a notification released by the Director of Elementary Education (DEE). With effect from the date the Government OM was issued, the same is applied to all hiring of Class-III and Class-IV positions for teaching and non-teaching staff under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam.”
