Tragic Drowning Incident Amidst Holi Celebrations in Assam

Amidst the joyous celebrations of Holi in Assam’s Jorhat district, a somber event unfolded as a final-year engineering student, Arnab Kallor Borah, tragically drowned in the Bhogdoi River. Arnab, a student at Jorhat Engineering College (JEC), went missing while bathing in the river with friends after playing Holi. Despite efforts by the authorities, his body was recovered three hours later. The incident casts a pall over the festive atmosphere, leaving the community in mourning for the promising young student from Majuli.
