Tragic Hit-and-Run Claims Lives of Two Friends on Barpeta Road

A heart-wrenching hit-and-run incident on National Highway 27 near Jamtala, Barpeta Road, resulted in the loss of two friends. Sabin Chowdhury, 28, from Shimlaguri, and Shyam Chaudhary, 27, from Jyotinagar, lost their lives when their motorcycle collided head-on with an unidentified vehicle while returning from work. The Barpeta Road police were alerted by locals and promptly arrived at the scene to recover the victims’ bodies for post-mortem. The responsible vehicle fled the area, leaving behind a somber aftermath.
