Transformative Decisions Unveiled in Assam Cabinet Meeting: Semiconductor Project Inauguration and Development Council Approval

In a crucial state cabinet meeting, Assam announced pivotal decisions, setting the stage for transformative initiatives. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to virtually inaugurate the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the semiconductor project in Jagiroad on March 13th. Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah disclosed key outcomes, including the approval for establishing a development council for the Kiran Sheikh community, addressing their long-standing demand.

The cabinet also sanctioned Rs 674.81 crore for the establishment of Karimganj Medical College, emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure. Additionally, investments of Rs 131.71 crore for the Rang Ghar beauty project and Rs 380.66 crore for the Amingaon Open Stadium were approved, showcasing a dedication to cultural enrichment and sporting excellence.
