Tripura Woman Files FIR Alleging Triple Talaq and Dowry Harassment

Udaipur (Tripura): An 18-year-old woman, Tahima Akhater, has lodged an FIR at Udaipur Police Station alleging that her husband, Nasim Uddin, pronounced triple talaq on July 24 and forced her out of their home in Gomati district.

In her complaint, Tahima alleged that she faced physical and mental harassment over a demand for ₹4 lakh in dowry from her husband and mother-in-law. She further claimed that after returning from her parental home on July 24, her husband pronounced triple talaq and expelled her from the house. Police are investigating the allegations.
