Twelve Assam Organizations Unite to Form Anti-CAA Forum, Vow Democratic and Peaceful Protest

A coalition of twelve organizations in Assam has joined forces to establish an anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) forum. The forum, formed recently, has collectively pledged to engage in democratic and peaceful protests within the state against the contentious CAA. Expressing concern over the potential adverse impact of the CAA on the future of Assam and its people, the forum has decided to maintain equidistance from political parties, forums, and politicians during the anti-CAA agitation.

The constituent organizations of the forum include Asomiya Yuva Mancha, Asom Jatiya Aikya Mancha, Krishak-Shramik Unnayan Samiti, Anusuchita Jati Yuva-Chatra Parishad, Asom, Lachit Xena, Thalgiri, Bodo-Kachari Jatiya Parishad, Deori Justice Forum, Ekotrito Yuva Parishad, Asom Naba Nirman Mancha, Bhomi Adhikar Sangram Samiti, and Moria Yuva-Chatra Santha. Together, they aim to voice their collective opposition to the CAA through peaceful and democratic means.
