Two Workers Electrocuted While Repairing Power Line in Tawang

Two workers, Tenzin Lotey and Vikash Kumar, tragically died from electrocution on Thursday while repairing the 11kV Tawang-Timilo-Changprong-Seru-Yusum feeder line. The accident occurred as they worked without taking a shutdown from the control room. Executive Engineer Sange Phuntso expressed deep regret over the incident and emphasized the need for improved safety measures. Chief Minister Pema Khandu offered condolences and announced compensation for the victims’ families, urging better safety protocols to prevent future accidents.
