Two Youths Killed in Truck–Scooter Collision Near Dhekiajuli

Two youths were killed and another critically injured in a road accident on the Dhekiajuli–Singri stretch near Nambogoribari on Friday evening. A speeding truck collided head-on with a scooter carrying three riders, killing 24-year-old Haridev Jena on the spot.

Ankur Madhukulya later died at Tezpur Medical College, while Arup Musahari remains in critical condition. Locals blamed overspeeding and the lack of speed breakers, alleging repeated fatal accidents on the stretch despite earlier assurances of safety measures.
