ULFA-I Denies Involvement in Cryptocurrency Extortion in Jorhat

Businessmen in Jorhat received extortion letters demanding ₹3 lakh payments via cryptocurrency, allegedly signed by a ULFA-I member, Ashim Asom. The letters warned against non-compliance and provided unique Ethereum wallet addresses. Jorhat police have registered a case and launched an investigation. ULFA-I denied involvement, stating no member by that name exists and warned against cooperating with the conman.
