Vigilance Team Nabs Corrupt Assistant Sub Inspector in Assam

In an ongoing effort to combat corruption, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption apprehended an Assistant Sub Inspector (UB) of Borhat PS in Charaideo district, Assam. The ASI, Uttam Saikia, was caught accepting a bribe at his rented residence in Habi Gaon, Borhat town. The bribe was solicited in exchange for providing relief to the complainant in a case. The vigilance team shared the development on ‘X’, indicating their successful operation in tackling corruption within the police force.
