Woman Killed, Daughter Injured in Stabbing at Guwahati PG

A woman, Suparna Das Chaudhury, was fatally stabbed and her daughter critically injured late last night at Prerona Girls PG in Guwahati’s Christian Basti. The attacker, 20-year-old Abhimanyu Debnath from Tripura, allegedly entered the PG and assaulted Priyanjali Das Chaudhury after a personal dispute. Suparna tried to defend her daughter but was killed in the process. Both Priyanjali and the accused were hospitalized. Police arrested Debnath and recovered the weapon. The incident is linked to a troubled relationship.
