Woman Trampled to Death by Wild Elephant in Assam’s Goalpara District

A tragic incident unfolded in Assam’s Goalpara district as a wild elephant fatally trampled a woman on Wednesday. The incident occurred in broad daylight at Mamakata Hurkakuchi village, where the woman was attacked while collecting vegetables in the hills. Authorities, including police and forest department personnel, swiftly responded, recovering the body and sending it to Goalpara Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination.
