World Rhino Day Celebrated at Manas and Kaziranga National Parks

Manas and Kaziranga National Parks marked World Rhino Day on Sunday with conservation activities. At Kaziranga, two rhino calves rescued during monsoon floods are being prepared for release back into the wild. Manas hosted a bicycle rally and awareness events, focusing on rhino protection.

Kaziranga officials highlighted their success, having released 18 rhinos after rehabilitation. Manas’ Field Director, Dr. C. Ramesh, noted around 50 rhinos are in the park, emphasizing community collaboration for successful conservation efforts.
