Youth detained for supporting ULFA-I on social media

Amidst the ongoing tension surrounding the protection of common people from extremists, a youthn from the Tamulpur area was arrested by the Assam Police on Saturday for publicly endorsing the banned group United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) in a Facebook comment.

The young person, identified as Bijumani Rabha, who left a supportive comment on a Facebook post endorsing the banned group was taken into custody by the Tamulpur Police. He also indicated his intention to join the extremist.
