3 held in Tripura for smuggling in cows

Tripura Police on Tuesday seized a total of 12 cows of breeds native to Myanmar being smuggled across the border through Mizoram. The police said three persons have been arrested at Panisagar in the North Tripura district.

According to the police, they got information on May 29 that the animals would be smuggled through Mizoram. Based on the information, personnel of Damcherra police station were posted at all naka points overnight.
