Assam Rifles seize drugs worth Rs 2.25 crore, and 3 arrested in Ttripura

On August 29, 2023, the Assam Rifles, working under the direction of HQ IGAR (East), captured three people and some heroin in a joint operation with Kumarghat PS in the Unakoti District of Tripura.

Based on reliable information about drug sales, the Assam Rifles and police officers from the Kumarghat Police Station jointly launched an operation. The operation party successfully apprehended three people and confiscated 558 gms of heroin, with an estimated cost of Rs 2.25 crore, in the general area of Kumarghat, Unakoti District, Tripura.
