59 cattle were rescued, with four being held by the East Guwahati Police District

In an effort to combat cattle smuggling, an East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Khetri Police Station rescued 59 cattle on their way to Meghalaya. The team intercepted two vehicles attempting to smuggle at Sakhura and Nazirakhat. According to reports, the team apprehended four smugglers.
