93% of Jiribam-Imphal rail project complete

Railways will soon connect Manipur’s capital Imphal with other capitals of the northeastern states and the country, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) said on Sunday while informing that over 93% of the Jiribam-Imphal new railway line project, which is one of the crucial connectivity projects for the region, is complete as of date.

The NFR is expecting to complete the project, which started in 2013, by next year.
