The University Grants Commission has announced an increase in researcher stipends

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to revise the stipends paid to Junior and Senior Research Fellows in a variety of disciplines.

The new fellowships will take effect on January 1, 2023, and are expected to benefit approximately 31,000 students across the country. At its 572nd meeting, the UGC decided to revise the fellowship amounts under the UGC Fellowship Schemes.
