Gauhati University Hosts International Seminar on South Asian Literatures
The Department of English, Gauhati University, held a two-day international seminar on the literatures of Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. In collaboration with CEAS and IACLALS, the event featured scholars from South Asia. VC Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta inaugurated the seminar with insights on regional cultural ties. Prof. Nishat Zaidi delivered the keynote, focusing on “Landscape as Event” in South Asian literature.
