CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Meets PM Modi During Delhi Visit

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday met Narendra Modi in New Delhi as part of his four-day visit to the national capital.

During the meeting, Sarma briefed the Prime Minister on the priorities and early achievements of Assam’s newly formed NDA government and thanked him for his continued support and guidance.

The Chief Minister is also scheduled to meet Droupadi Murmu and several Union Ministers during his visit. The trip comes amid speculation over an upcoming expansion of the Assam cabinet, which is expected to take place in the second week of June after Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya returns from an official visit to Mongolia.
