Assam Eyes All-Season Tourism as Visitor Numbers Continue to Rise

Guwahati, Assam: Tourist arrivals in Assam are steadily increasing, with more than 85 lakh visitors, including around 47,000 foreign tourists, visiting the state during the last financial year. According to Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) Managing Director Padmapani Bora, tourism in Assam is currently concentrated in a particular season. However, the development of new hotels and tourism infrastructure is expected to boost all-season tourism and attract visitors throughout the year.
