Assam Orders Probe into Alleged DISE, SEBA Code Scam in Nagaon Schools

Nagaon, Assam: The Assam government has ordered a formal inquiry into alleged irregularities in the issuance of DISE and SEBA codes to private schools in Nagaon district. Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu said School Education Department Secretary Krishna Baruah has been directed to investigate the matter and submit a report within seven days. The probe follows media reports and complaints alleging that several private schools received approvals and codes without following mandatory procedures. The government has assured strict action against those found responsible.
