Two Suspected ULFA(I) Cadres Arrested, Major Terror Plot Foiled in Tinsukia

Tinsukia: Assam Police, in a joint operation with central security agencies, arrested two suspected ULFA(I) cadres near Jagun and foiled an alleged terror plot targeting civilians. Two AK-56 rifles, 173 rounds of ammunition, two hand grenades and other materials were seized from their possession. Police said the duo allegedly entered Assam from Myanmar via Arunachal Pradesh and were planning an attack to create panic. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to uncover the wider conspiracy.
